Ogres and Kobolds and Dragons, Oh My!

Stories are told around the campfire of Cain's clan - orcneas, evil ylfes, and giants - blood spawned when Cain first slew Abel. These are just stories, aren't they.

The Shire of Lionsdale is under attack. It will be up to the archers of Lionsdale and surrounding lands to drive out and kill the fiends and demons that would eat the shire's children while they sleep. Of the archers that survive the hellish onslaught, one will be recognized as the archery champion of Lionsdale.

The competition is open to all SCA legal target archery gear (i.e. bows and crossbows, wooden arrows, feather fletching) but the Target Archery Marshal in Charge (Archos James Wolfden) may restrict weapons on safety concerns. This may apply to higher poundage bows and crossbows. If you have concerns about your gear being restricted, you may contact James ahead of the event.

Rounds will consist at shooting at targets based on mythical creatures. Creatures will have a kill zone marked on them. If an archer fails to kill a creature, the creature wounds the archer. If the archer is wounded sufficiently, the archer will be considered dead and will not be allowed to carry on to subsequent rounds. One round will be timed.

I can bring loaner bows but I have limited loaner arrows.
